Hip hop is more than just a song to dance off for most people.

It is about the lyrics and the feeling it gives them as they listen.

According to Rolling Out, over 6,000 fans gathers at Detroit’s Chene Park Amphitheater to watch several of their favorite artists perform.

RUN-D.M.C., Rakim and EPMD touched the stage for epic performances that many won’t forget.

Vice president of the Right Productions and general manager of Detroit’s Chene Park said, “Chene Park Amphitheater hosted an incredible concert performance from the kings of rap and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. The show opened with a walk back in time from the legendary group EPMD and master lyricist Rakim. Run-D.M.C. has not performed in the city of Detroit since 1988, and this was a first for the group to perform at Chene Park Amphitheater.”

EPMD got the fans excited first and then Rakim came to the stage to give the crowd some of his hits.

Lastly RUN-D.M.C. came on getting everyone to wave their hands back and fourth and concert goers went crazy as they performed “My Adidas.”

We hope they take this on the road because everyone should get to experience this.
