Bun B came through to the “Ed Lover Show” studio! He talked with Ed about his incredible career and how it all began. He discussed how rappers performed in the early days of hip-hop, when major clubs and radio stations were not interested in hosting the new genre’s artists and their sound. He reveals that college radio provided the majority of breaking ground for hip-hop records, both locally and nationwide, and recalls the college radio station that gave him the time of day when he was trying to get put on.

Bun B also tells the story of how he and Pimp C linked up in high school through a mutual friend, and how their misconceptions about each other ultimately lead to what sparked their friendship. Plus, he explains what his plan B was, and why Pimp C was a huge source of motivation to him. Click on the audio player to hear more in this exclusive interview from the “Ed Lover Show.”
