Def Comedy Jam began in 1992 and the show is where many comedians began their career. 25 years later now Netflix will pay tribute to the iconic series that Russell Simmons began.

According to TV Guide the Def Comedy Jam anniversary will bring back some alumni that touched that stage and fans will enjoy some performances.

The show ran for five season on HBO and helped launched the careers of Martin Lawrence, Tracy Morgan, Mo’Nique and more. Guests that we will see for Netflix’s Def Comedy Jam 25 include Sheryl Underwood, Steve Harvey, Bill Bellamy and more. The special will tape in L.A. in September and premiere in the fall on Netflix.
