Google is taking us back to a time where the DJ playing your party brought in crates of records to get the party started.

According to The Fader, the search engine is celebrating the 44th anniversary of the day Kool Herk first began spinning turntables at a party in the Bronx. Google Doodle allows the user to select albums and begin the day scratching and mixing.

You can pick albums from Prince Paul, George Clinton and more.

Fab 5 Freddy and Lyor Cohen were amongst the names that worked to put this together for the anniversary. The art work was created by graffiti artist Cey Adams, which also was behind Def Jam for a while.

This will remain on Google’s homepage for the next 40 hours, so make sure you get your turn at the table.
