“All Eyez On Me” didn’t do as well as it was projected to, especially after all of that hype and anticipation leading up to its release. On opening day, celebrities and viewers across the country began to make their thoughts on the film known. Notably, Jada Pinkett-Smith took to Twitter to say she was hurt by the film’s inaccurate portrayal of her relationship with Tupac.

Jada was a known friend to Tupac, so it is entirely possible that her thoughts on it had an affect on people’s willingness to head out to the movie theaters.
