Teddy Riley chatted with Ed Lover & Monie Love. He explains how he met Doug E. Fresh who went to the same high school -through a mutual friend, and produced the iconic 1985 hit “The Show” for him and Slick Rick. He talks about going to the popular club Harlem World, and being in the room when legendary rap battles like the one between Busy Bee and Kool Moe Dee went down in 1981.

Teddy explains what he did for Doug E. Fresh’s “The Show” when Doug E. brought it to him and asked for help. Teddy also talks about how he realized that she should be credited for his work, the first big record he produced with his name on it, and why he never went after people for sampling his work. Check out this exclusive video to hear more in this clip from this interview from the “Ed Lover Show.”
