This week in Manchester, United Kingdom, a 22 year old man detonated an improvised bomb at an Ariana Grande concert. He killed 22 people and wounded 64 others. This incident of terror is particularly devastating because it took place in at concert; a communal positive space that should not be the backdrop for such a monstrosity.

She says, although Manchester is literally close to home for her, every single time a thing like this happens anywhere, it’s too close to home.
