This month, Tupac became the first solo hip-hop act to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Among the artists that were selected to honor this occasion were Treach, Alicia Keys, YG, T.I. and Snoop Dogg. The picks ultimately were weak, however, and show a general lack of understanding of Tupac, and his artistry and career.

When classic rock groups are inducted, they tend to find the appropriate music groups to represent the artist being inducted. On the stage for Tupac, however, were very few artists that were actually a part of Tupac’s past, and for more than just the one year that he was signed to Death Row.
